RPRM 10.2 with VVX phones and Line Key Customization set to ON.

Hello,

I am currently working on migrating by phones from an FTP provisioning server over to RPRM 10.2.

We have a few phones with Expansion Modules that we've enabled line keys to setup the contacts on the module in a custom format.

The file that holds the contacts is setup on the provisioning server is called <mac-address-SIPURI>.csv and is referenced each time that user is logged onto this phone under their SfB username.

How can I move this file into RPRM 10.2?

Hello @SR_MCSE,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

Have you tried to copy these files to phoneservice/configfiles/resources/ ?

I am not 100% sure if the RPRM yet supports this as this may only be a feature of 10.3 once released.

In order to make sure this is covered please open a ticket in parallel with Polycom support via your reseller.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

I haven't been able to access the file system.

How can I do so? FTP / SCP? What credentials?

Re: RPRM 10.2 with VVX phones and Line Key Customization set to ON.

No need to escalate to support.  To use the EFLK feature within RPRM, you have to be on release 10.2 or later, and then just upload the .csv files into the 'Resources Files' Directory.

Since the EFLK files can only live on the 'root' as per the latest UCS software releases, we had to store those files in a different location as there is no concept of a writeable root directory in RPRM.

As you can see in the attached image, you can upload a master file or a device specific, and they just all live in that directory.

Re: RPRM 10.2 with VVX phones and Line Key Customization set to ON.

Brandon,

With the .csv files sitting in the 'root' of RPRM, the phone should automatically obtain the file and no other configuration in profiles correct?

Re: RPRM 10.2 with VVX phones and Line Key Customization set to ON.

It'll grab the .csv following the provisioning rules just as it does in a basic file server scenario for provisioning.  for instance if there is a 000000000000-brandon.guy.csv and a 123456789012-brandon.guy.csv, it'll grab the mac before the master file.

If by other configuration files, it'll also grab those for the configuration profiles in addition to the EFLK files.
