Hello,

I would like to inquire - can the Polycom VBP-E support incoming calls from the Polycom RealPresence Mobile software from an outside network?

We are interested in both 3G/WiFi connectivity.

Setup:

1. The VBP is registered to the organizations CMA 5000, so it is not functioning as a main gatekeeper.

2. The iPad is not registered to the CMA.

3. The dialing plan used to connect is 192.115.XXX.XXX##252XX (we tried the 252XX@192.115.XXX.XXX as well)

Whenever we try dialing, we are unable to connect.

Any help would be appreciated!

I'm wondering if you are being blocked by your service providor.   You might try calling a known good site on the public internet wihtout the E.164 extension (##252xx).   I have a test site you can try at 71.14.2.157 or 71.14.2.157.   See if you can connect there first (this will eliminate the SP issue).

If that works, then it is likely the association you have between VBP-E and CMA.   Make sure and review the VBP configuration and installation manual that is on the Support webiste.   It's pretty complete and might help.

I do extension (E.164) dialing into my office with 71.14.x.x##59xxx all the time and it works fine (but I don't have the CMA in the middle)..

Good Luck,

Gary M
