Dear Polycom supporter!

RSS 2000 lost ip, then i dont connect it via Webase. I try connect to console port. But I dont connect to RSS 200 via port RS232 ( console: 9600, 8bits)

I want support me: Pin serial port console - RS232

Other method connect to RSS-2000

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I am pretty sure we do not disclose within this official Polycom community how to reset / access the RSS if the Admin Password is lost.

Please contact our support team .

We will remove any post replying to this that will publicly explain how to remove/access if the password is lost or forgotten.

The correct settings for the RS-232 connection are 9600-8-N-1. A serial cable is shipped with the system but if you are using your own cable it must be pinned as a null modem cable. Once connected you will be prompted for the Administrator password. 

 

Once logged in you can issue the command:

 

set lan1 static <IP address> mask <subnet mask> gw <default gateway address>

 

That will set the IP address of the system.
