Hello,

Recently we've encountered an issue with one of our RMXs not registering via SIP properly to our DMA Supercluster.

The error message received is: Duplicate user in flat namespace

The issue only occurs with one specific RMXs and the message has a three (3) minute interval (can be seen within the DMA's registration history).

However, when checking the registration status on the RMX, it appears to be in an "OK" state and SIP calls work as well.

The only problem we have is that occasionally this RMX drops SIP-based calls at random, which I am assuming is related to the registration issue.

Sofware versions:

DMA 7000 (SC) - 6.0.3_HF1_Build_11

RMX 4000 - RMX_8.2.0.85.133

Troubleshooting done:

1. Reboot the RMX

2. Attempt to re-register RMX to DMA

3. Block/Unblock RMX registrations on DMA

4. Verify all SIP related configurations on RMX

Did anyone encouter this?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Hello Daniel,

the message is most likely caused by registered SIP endpoints having the same name on different domains.

This may be only a cosmetic warning / error message but if you want to follow this up please work with your Polycom reseller to bring this to the attention of Polycom support.

You can quote DMA-5378 and DMA-5535

Hello Steffen,

Thanks for the prompt response.

I've checked - the box is ticked.

Should I untick it?

Cheers!
