Hi,

We are using CMA Desktop Version: 5.2.2.13044 with CMA 4000 ver 6.0.1.ER10. We are also using AD enterprise integration.

When we add a user to our contact list, we do not receive a notification that the user has been added to the requestors list or to accept. Both machines are in the same subnet so this rules out a firewall issue. Would anyone know where to start debugging this issue? Is the traffic host to host or via the CMA.

Thanks

Nick

Are you using the Multiple Address Books feature of CMA 6.0? Because we have seen a couple of customers have issues with sending those invites when using the Multiple Address Books feature in CMA 6 with LDAP users.

We are currently using both a the GAB and the enterprise directory but have not configured the multiple address books feature.

Also is there a way to disable Chat and Presence on the CMA desktop client?

Yeah, if you go to Admin --> Provisioning --> Automatic Provisioning Profiles, you can edit / create provisioning profiles that will affect all dynamic mode devices (including CMA Desktop). One of the tabs is "CMA Desktop Settings" and one of the options in there is to allow/deny IM and Chat.

Forgot to add, the XMPP traffic for invites and such does go through the CMA, but if it were firewall related you would probably get presence registration errors when you signed it. My guess is that this is related to a couple of similar issues we have seen in CMA 6. I would call up and open a ticket with PGS so they can take a look at the logs from your CMA and find out if this is configuration or a bug.

Would the traffic flow for the invites be between hosts or between hosts and the CMA ?
