I recently upgraded my CMA 4000 to v5.4 from 5.0.  When I did, my CMAD for MAC version 5.1 stopped working.  When I try to log in, it says it's trying to download presence information or something like that but fails, so the login fails.  I can use CMAD 5.0 just fine still but am wondering if there is a known issue with CMA 4000 v5.4 and CMAD 5.1 for MAC.  By the way, CMAD 5.1 for Windows works just fine.

There is a known issue on Mac compatability between CMA-D version 5.1.0 for Mac OS and CMA server version 5.4 or 5.5. We have a hotfix available here, on our support ftp:

ftp://ftp.polycomsupport.info/pub/NSD/CMA/CMA-D_MAC/PolycomCMADesktopMacOSX5.1.1.5426_1178.zip

Install that on your Mac OS machines and you should be okay. This code resolves an issue with CMA-D authentication and allows Mac OS users to log into their CMA-D clients once again.

This hotfix should be rolled up into the next release of CMA-D software for Mac OS users.

Hey Hammond,

I hope Barry's answer sorts you out ok. I moved this post here to the Management forums though, because CMAD issues fall under the scope of CMA support. I just want to make sure that we address your problem in the appropriate forums so that other users experiencing this issue can find the solutions they need more easily.

Let us know if the hotfix resolves your issue!
