Hi,

One of our client is equipped with January 1 DMA, CMA 1, 2 RMX, VBP 1 E, 1 VBP ST.
On the CMA, we added the second RMX as a resource (DMA is the Gatekeeper).
We did not integrate DMA / CMA as we could have with a Resource Manager.

RMX is in 8.2, CMA in 6.0 and DMA in 6.0.2.

Our client uses the scheduling trough the CMA.
We noticed that the CMA, when we scheduling meetings, request a creation of a room directly to the RMX (1 or 2) without going trough the DMA.
Therefore, when a member wants to join the meeting, he must type the alias of the bridge (in our case, 2500 or 3500) and then the number of virtual room.
So, the customer need to know in advance what RMX will be used.

Do you know an implementation among DMA CMA and RMX that would allow the rooms created during scheduling, are informed in the DMA to avoid to use the alias of the Bridge.
A resource Manager is necessary ?

Best Regards

Nicolas,

Let me to recommend you to migrate CMA to RP Resource Manager. This could give you the opportunity to use Pooled Conferences:

● Pooled Conferences end on resources managed by the Polycom DMA system (pool orders).
Conference templates for pooled conferences are created and maintained on the DMA system.

Find more details in RP RM Operation Guide.

Migration is free of charge - please contact your local Polycom reseller for details.

Hi Mike_V,

Thank you for your reply.

This method can not work with a CMA?

AFAIK it's impossible, CMA can only create a conference directly on RMX.
