Hi,

I have situation where it seems certain people can log into the CMA client and others it is stating their username/PW is incorrect. The others seem to be rejected after the CMA client after checking the provisioning server. I've check logs (Audit log). I hope that is the correct one, but it is a 5mbs of stuff.

Any help/suggestions would be appreiciated! Thanks!

Hello D_M,

It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

  • Is the CMA integrated into AD or are these local users ?

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hi Steffen,

RPRM ver 7.1.1 HF2

RMX ver 7.8.0.246

DMA ver 6.0.2 build 11

CMA Client 5.2.6

Yes, we are integrated with AD. Strange thing is, we had a new person start just yesterday. I had him log into the CMA client and everything passed through with no problems. I tried another user, who had been in AD for a while, who has also never logged in, and they get username/PW denied. I even reset their PW in AD and they are not being allowed access.

Thanks!

Hello D_M,

I suggest you work with your Polycom reseller or Polycom support directly as we need to check the logs.

Thanks. I am working on contacting them.

After more troubleshooting, I did find out that if in AD, if the user has access to "ALL COMPUTERS" under their account, they will pass through the CMA client and log into the system. If they have restricted or limited access to computers (which we do) they cannot log in. I tried giving them access to every device we had (RMX.RPRM,DMA) even the computer account created for the RPRM without any success. I'm still working on it as I do not want everyone having all computer access. But just an update for others.

Hi D-M,

were you able to get a solution for this? I basically am working on a similar setup and I have same issues, the RP Desktop users are not able to log onto the RPRM using their active directory credetials, but using a local user, am able to log on to the RPRM. The RPRM is integrated with the AD, so is the RPDMA, RPCS, and the RPAD. While loged onto the RPRM with the local admin account, I am able to serch for AD users and see them in the RPRM.

What might be the issue?

Kind Regards,
