Hello community,

It has came to my attention that Poly does not have an inhouse upgrade mic for X30 / TC8. (As per tech support)

Has anybody bought a 3rd party mic system that we could connect to the X30/TC8? Our conference room is 4x6m, standard ceiling height at around 2.7 to 3m.

The current in-built mic is not good enough as we are getting feedbacks on choppy sounds. Preferably it's a 3rd party mic that could be moved around so that it could be put close to whoever that's speaker.

Thanks from NZ

Hello @aau01 ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

The Poly Studio X 30 is designed for small huddle rooms aka 3mx3m maximum and the Microphone built-in is sufficient for this room size

If you need an addition Microphone please look at the Poly Trio as the Poly Studio X 30 does not have an additional microphone port

Thanks Steffen,

Unfortunately this was purchased by our IT and not by us directly. Could you please advice which device you would have recommended instead of the X30? Perhaps X50 or better? Again room size is around 4m x 6m.

Thanks again

Albert

Hello @aau01

adding a Trio 8800 or 8500 or C60 will improve the audio. If not, the Studio X50 is for the room size.
