Hello,
To share content with the polycom trio800 and group series 500 I tested
1. Skype for business 2016 which displayed VBSS content as being active and worked fine.
2. People + Content IP however seemed to be using RDP to share content.
3. The new Pano app being pushed by polycom seemed to be optimized for VBSS at 20fps
My question is will Polycom ever optimized People + Content IP to support VBSS. As using Skype for business to wireless share content involve a lot more steps in comparison to People + Content IP and the New Pano App only supports IP addresses, something our users will fine hard to adopt.

Hi ROb,
This make a lot of sense now. thanks for explaining the difference between the App

Hello @Joe85,
welcome back to the Polycom Community.
The Polycom Trio can only receive VBSS. There is no way to share VBSS from a Polycom Trio with an attached Visual+ to send VBSS into a meeting.
The GroupSeries can send and receive VBSS using the right licenses and model which support this.
We do not discuss or talk future development within the Polycom community and you will have to work with a Polycom reseller or Polycom Sales Engineer on any roadmap features.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

----------------Hi Steffen,
What I am actually saying is that when content is sent the the Trio using People + Content IP, the content is displayed on the screen as RDP by default when compared to sending content using Skype for Business 2016 and Pano app.
Is that much clearer ?
Both the Polycom Pano App and People + Content IP send the desktop video as encoded H.264. The new Pano App is has a more efficent H.264 video encoder that is able to achieve much higher frame rates (~20-30fps) than People + Content IP (only about 1-2fps). Neither app supports RDP mode.
