I have inherited an unused RMX 2000 from a very unprofesional individual. i am now incharge of making this work. Our service contract is expired. i do not know the ip addresses or version of firmware on the RMX. i tried downloading a USB key and resetting the IP addresses that way but i think i am missing a step becasue i cannot connect to the RMX when i click connect in the manager. i am not sure what IP address i use for the RMX MCU manager either. i tried the control unit IP and the SHelf management IP but neither would let me connect. what am i doing wrong? without buying a service contract haha.

Hello SipermanDT,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Setting up an RMX is something we offer training courses on and is not something a person never having worked on such equipment may be able to do without assistance from a professional.

There are Installation Guides available at the RMX support page => here <= that can be consulted but as you are struggling you may want to reconsider your decision and seek professional help from a Polycom partner.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
