Hi

this bridge is reporting a Yellow alarm and the call faults symptoms include:

- failed or "connected with problem" when dialing out.

- the RMX however accepts dial-in without problems

I have not been able to find a clear meaning for the Yellow Alarm indication other than it means that something is wrong in the remote ISDN network.

The RMX Admin Guide has no explanation at all.

Mathias,

You are not finding anything about yellow alarms in the RMX admin guide because it is not an RMX alarm, it is part of the DS1 signalling standard as designed by Bell Labs in the 1990s. It is a remote alarm indication, which means that the equipment at the other end of the line is in a red alarm and is having some kind of framing issue.
