Hi, i'm trying to setup our RMX 1000 to allow for external video conferencing and would like to know if this is even possible without the use of a video border proxy appliance. We currently have VSX7000s across our office locations around the globe which are strictly used for internal video conferencing accross our WAN. How can i utilize our RMX 1000 to be able to allow for our external customers to call into the unit via public IP?
Appreciate any guidance here.
Do your RMX 1000 have two LAN Ports?
If yes ,you can set two ip,one for for internal video ,the other for external video, and you need to configurea static router in RMX 1000.
Can you provide a quick breakdown of the sample config for the external connection and static router config?
Thanks
For example:
conf lan2:
IP:172.16.1.2
Subnet Mask:255.255.255.0
Gateway:172.16.1.1
In the Routers Label:
you need to add a static router
Routers IP address:172.16.1.1
Remote IP address:172.16.0.0
Subnet Mask:255.255.0.0
then reset the MCU...
Hello,
I hvae the same problem, with one lan i want to connect the rmx to a internal network (cma , vbp) and with the other LAN i want to connect to the Public internet. I still want to use the CMA gatekeeper en RMX with the internal IP and for people outside the company i want to use public IP. I came pretty far with configuring this but when i connect to the public IP the internal routing isnt correct (i get a black screen) but i can connect to the RMX. I think that there is a misconfiguration in the Routers Vieuw.
Thanks for the help so far
