Hi experts,

We deployed IPv6 recently on our intranet. When I attempted to input ipv6 address on my rpcs1800 I found the IP version dropdown box is grey so the value could not be changed to "IPv4 & IPv6".

Any ideas for solving this problem?

regards,

Rick

FINAL solution.

Downgrade RMX 1800 to 8.5 or below. In SW version 8.5 the "IP Version" dropdown box is active and available to change. Set IPv6 address mode to "stateless" to finish the setup process and change it to "manual" later if you use fixed address instead. There are bugs in the software so errors may occur during the configuration process if you choose "manual" in initial setup. While finished setting upgrade the S/W to the version you desired. Remember NEVER perform Comprehensive Factory Restore in version 8.6 or above because it will change the "IP Version" back to "IPv4 only".

Hello @Rtsin ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

Both the communities Must Read First or Read 1st and if available the FAQ reference the basic minimum information a new or follow up post should contain.

This ensures the questions having to be asked are limited and any new or follow up post contains the right amount of details to ensure any voluntary participant within the community does not spend additional time chasing basic information.

Unfortunately, your post fell a bit short of the above-explained requirements and we kindly ask you, therefore, to ensure to read these sections and ensure a reply (not Edit!) provides as much detail as possible

Thanks Steffen although I failed to find any posts titled "Read 1st" or such.

I tried to find related instructions in the AG, various versions. According to the document the "IP Version" dropdown box is active and the value could be changed to adopt the site situation, v4 or v6.

But on the web UI of my 3 set of RPCS1800s they are all grey. These 1800s have all different S/W versions: 8.7.5, 8.8.1 and 8.9.2. I tried RMX Manager, which doesn't work also.....But how I can activate the dropdown?
