I have a Voyager Legend Bluetooth Headset. When I receive a SMS message to my Samsung mobile phone  with the Bluetooth headset connected, the headset does not sound a tone that the message has been received.

How do I rectify this please.

Hello @The Captain,

Welcome to Poly Community.

Any Bluetooth headset is a slave device and it is getting controlled by your Audio Gateway (AG) i.e your phone. All the notification will originate on Phone OS level and will be streamed to headset when properly setup. Some phones may have limitations due to their customized OS versions or Bluetooth radio software where they may not play all type of notifications/sounds to a connected Bluetooth headset. Also same headset will behave differently with different apps or notifications due the level of Android skin customization each phone manufacturer or app developer tends to utilize. We suggest you to contact your phone manufacturer to get help on this as this is not a headset behavior. Couple of things for starter are:

- ensure notification alerts are enabled on your SMS APP  for Voyager Legend.Few tips from Samsung can be found here.

- you can refer to following Samsung KB where they talk about all the sound and notification setting options available on their phones and see if you are missing out on these notifications due to incorrect settings.

In case this was working earlier and suddenly stopped working for your headset then you can log a ticket with our support for this to see if they can help isolate the issue further.
