My new Voyager Focus 2 headset frequently switches from stereo to mono and back.  I used the Plantronic Hub to update the drivers/software on the headset and USB, but the problem continues?

 

What might be causing this, and how do I fix it?

Look at your USB dongle. If it shines purple it means it is in audio streaming mode and has best quality. If it is blue - it is in headset mode and the audio quality will be reduced.

Thank you, Greg.  It is blue, not purple.  How do I change this setting?

As I know the headset selects automatically the mode. If the mic is enabled (i.e. on a call, recording or speaking) it will be blue.

If you quit a call and start streaming audio, it should be purple.

Thank you, Greg.  The USB hasn't ever been purple, only blue.  I searched the software for a setting to adjust this but haven't found any.  Poly support wasn't helpful; they just told me to return it to Amazon.
