I have received a new Windows 11 laptop. I plugged in my BT600 adapter and it connected right away to the 5200 headset as it they had previously been paired.

The microphone works perfectly in a variety of applications, including the Sound control panel (Recording tab).

Unfortunately, even though the BT600 shows up in a variety of applications, including the Sound control panel (the Playback tab), no sound comes out of the earphone.

I know the Plantronics Hub software is not identified as being compatible with Windows 11 (https://www.poly.com/in/en/support/downloads-apps/hub-desktop), but I'm not trying to install or use the Hub software. I am simply trying to use the BT600 bluetooth adapter.

In the Windows 11 device manager settings, the BT600 indicates it is working properly, with a driver date of April 2022. As I mentioned above, the microphone works great. It is only the sound output to the earpiece that is the problem.

Thank you for your help!

Hello @slyle

Welcome to the Poly community.

Could you please confirm if BT600 has been set as default device under Sound control panel playback tab? If it is, please confirm what happens when you try to test the headset?

To test the headset > Open Sound control panel > playback > Headset Earphone Plantronics BT600 > Right Click > Test

To isolate PC specific issue, please confirm if the headset has been tested with a different PC?

After further testing, I discovered I had to wait about 1 minute and then press the button at the end of the mic boom (answer / hang-up button). Even though the headset originally said "PC connected" when I turned it on, I seem to have to wait about 60 seconds and then press the button again (hearing "PC connected" a 2nd time) in order for sound to come through.

Is this normal / expected??

Thank you
